Profile
Mission
Our mission is to develop and strengthen international cooperation in teaching and learning. Our basic profile relates to German-Polish relations in the legal, social and economic spheres – all this in a European context. In view of current challenges, our activities are being expanded to include further thematic areas, such as globalisation and digitalisation. A number of initiatives are being implemented within the Collegium Polonicum, including the innovative European New School of Digital Studies.
The profile of Collegium Polonicum is derived from the research programmes existing at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan (UAM) and the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder) (UEV). We offer innovative and interdisciplinary fields of study in first and second degrees, as well as postgraduate studies. We educate in Polish, German and English. Most of our degree courses lead to double diplomas – a Polish one issued by UAM and a German one issued by UEV. This gives the graduates an excellent position on the job market in different countries.
Collegium Polonicum also serves as a meeting and cultural life animation centre – conferences, seminars, exhibitions, concerts, performances and popular science events are organised here. Our building offers unique in the border region, modern and fully equipped spaces for conferences, performances and teaching.
